João Pessoa

Saturday morning, we left for João Pessoa.  We drove for about 2 hours, then headed to the beach for a while.  It was kind of chilly/overcast/rainy when we first got there, but it warmed up enough that it turned out to be perfect.  One group built a giant sand castle, while I built a giant sand alligator with Doug.  (sorry, I don't have the pictures...hopefully I track them down eventually though, because it was super cool.)

After the beach, we went back to our hotel to change clothes, then went out to dinner.  We walked through an area full of cute little stores, then went out on the dock of the restaurant to see this guy play saxophone.  I don't remember what his name was, but he was super good.  He also serenaded a couple later in the night and played Ave Maria.  Wow.  I don't think I have ever loved the saxophone so much.

Plus, he was playing standing up in a little rowboat.  Sweet, huh?

It was a bit overcast still from earlier and the sunset wasn't as spectacular as it is on some nights, but it was still a really pretty evening (and I loved all the boats just sitting on the water).
